Taurines was a commercial studio in Bombay (India) from 1885 – 1902. Whether Taurines is the name of a photographer or just the name given to the studio, it is hard to say as there is no record of a first name. As a result nobody knows of the origins. Taurines claim to fame was an extensive photographic record of the construction of the Victoria Dock, Bombay. Taurines was in partnership for a short time, 1891 – 1892, with Charles Nicond under the name of Taurines, Nicond & Co.
